Solution Overview

The health of our planet is a topic that is gaining more and more attention. With the increase in pollution, global warming and other environmental issues, it is vital that we keep track of how our environment is doing. This can help us identify the areas where we need to focus our energy and resources on improving our environment.

There are many ways to monitor the quality of air around us including satellites, balloons and even drones but these methods are not always reliable or accurate enough to provide us with useful data. This is where an outdoor air quality monitor comes in handy! An outdoor air quality monitor will accurately measure up to 5 key environmental parameters including Temperature, Humidity, Particulate Matter (PM1, PM 2.5), PM 4 & PM 10), EPA Air Quality Index and Ozone.

The readings are transmitted to the cloud using long range LoRa wireless technology where the IA Connects Mobius flow platform can make the data available to the systems and reporting that need it.

Customer Challenges

Outdoor air pollution is a significant issue in many parts of the world, with a wide range of negative health effects. It has been linked to cardiovascular diseases, lung cancer, and asthma.

In order to more effectively monitor and manage outdoor air pollution, it is important to understand the factors that affect it. These include:

Congestion - Pollution levels increase when there are more cars on the road, as exhaust fumes can't disperse quickly enough.

- Pollution levels increase when there are more cars on the road, as exhaust fumes can't disperse quickly enough. Citizen health - The outdoor environment plays an important role in our overall health, so people living in areas with poor air quality may experience poorer long-term health.

Sustainability - Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and water vapour (H2O). The burning of fossil fuels such as coal causes these gases to be released into the atmosphere where they trap heat from escaping back out into space;
