Solution Overview

ENERGY EFFICIENCY SOLUTION with Highest Performance and Lowest Cost.

Milesight’s smart water metering solution uses EM300-DI LoRaWAN Pulse Counter to quickly and economically transform conventional water meters into smart ones. This device is used to remotely read water meter data and converts current standard water meters into smart meters over the LoRaWAN® network, allowing for easier management and increasing water efficiency. It also has temperature and humidity sensors embedded in the device to collect environmental data.

The EM300-DI LoRaWAN® Pulse Counter can be used in different application scenarios such as agricultural irrigation, smart building meter reading, and industrial water use. The device can be connected with a passive pulse meter to collect data on water use. With LoRaWAN® technology, the collected data can be transferred to a LoRaWAN® Gateway and further visualized on Milesight IoT Cloud platform. By using Milesight IoT Cloud, users can check the status of water meters at any time and achieve remote control with a few clicks on a laptop or phone

This solution offers several benefits such as superior accuracy, low-cost maintenance, and enhanced energy efficiency

Milesight’s smart water metering solution can help save energy by providing remote monitoring and management of water meters. This allows administrators to get to know the status of water use in real-time and improve water usage efficiency, which can lower energy bills.

Another tool offered by Milesight is their Wireless IoT E-Ink Display DS3604 which helps companies reduce the use of paper and accelerate their digital transformation journey. This device supports text, image, QR code in customized templates and can be adapted to any business operation scenarios.

Customer Challenges

  • Inaccurate water meter readings: Traditional water meters can have low accuracy and be difficult to manage. Milesight’s smart water metering solution uses the EM300-DI LoRaWAN Pulse Counter to provide more accurate readings and easier management of water meters.
  • High maintenance costs: Traditional water meters can require frequent maintenance and battery replacements. Milesight’s solution uses high-capacity batteries that can last for several years without replacement, reducing maintenance costs.
  • Inefficient water usage: Without real-time monitoring of water usage, it can be difficult to identify areas where water usage can be reduced. Milesight’s solution provides remote monitoring and management of water meters, allowing administrators to identify areas where water usage can be reduced and improve water usage efficiency.
  • Difficulty managing multiple water meters: In large buildings or complexes with multiple water meters, it can be difficult to manage all of the meters. Milesight’s solution allows for remote monitoring and management of all water meters, making it easier to manage multiple meters.

Features and Benefits

  • Superior accuracy: The LoRaWAN® Pulse Counter can filter out interference signals automatically and supports stop, refresh, clear and accumulated counting for users to configure the device as needed. This ensures that the data collected is accurate and reliable.
  • Low-cost maintenance: Due to the EM300-DI LoRaWAN® Pulse Counter being LoRaWAN®-based, high-capacity batteries are available for several years working without replacement. This means that there is no need for frequent battery replacements, reducing maintenance costs.
  • Enhanced energy efficiency: Remote monitoring and management of the devices can help the administrator get to know the status of water use in real-time and improve water usage efficiency, which can lower energy bills. By being able to monitor water usage in real-time, administrators can identify areas where water usage can be reduced, leading to energy savings.
  • Easier management: The solution allows for easier management of water meters by providing remote access to water meter data. This means that administrators can monitor and manage water meters from anywhere, without having to physically visit each meter.
  • Increased water efficiency: By being able to monitor water usage in real-time, administrators can identify areas where water usage can be reduced, leading to increased water efficiency.
