The importance of a good partnership.

We are all facing a new reality, a new situation that forces us to improve our organisation’s, to adjust to macro environmental factors and be ready for what is going to happen both now and in the near future. In times of major change, we generally seek to find solutions internally to move forward. However, if this crisis has showed us anything, it is that at this time it is very important to have a trusted ally with which to face new situations and challenges.

As a great fan of mountain sports, I really like to read and review the history of the great landmarks of man in nature. I recently read the fabulous book by Heinrich Harrer “The White Spider”, in which the conquest of one of the most inaccessible walls for man is narrated: the north face of the Eiger. In this book you can find great feats, but also great failures of different expeditions in the mountains. Failures that were generally paid for with the lives of the mountaineers. Most of the risky and dangerous situations came not only from the environment itself, but from not having an appropriate partnership in which the mountaineers agreed to complement their skills and therefore successfully climb the mountain. This mountain was successfully climbed on its north face in 1938, being the result of a very atypical rope formed by two different teams that were able to unite, understand each other and collaborate to achieve success.

Applying this learning to the challenges that we face today; we can see that it is equally important in the process of Digital Transformation to have partnerships that complement our capabilities and help us develop new skills.
